Psychological Health Support Group

Posted on 06 December 2021

Mind in Camden is launching a new Psychological Health Support Group.

About The Group

The psychological health group is slightly different to the other workshops that we run in that it is a formal long term therapy group. The group is suitable for people struggling with interpersonal or emotional issues, who are able to make a regular fortnightly commitment.

The group may help you feel less alone with the problems you face, as each person in the group will have something to offer you such as kindness, empathy, intuitive sense or straightforwardness that can help you. You can also discover at the same time you have something to offer them.

Day and Times: Every Wednesday 7.00 pm to 8.30 pm

Joining: Places in the group are limited, but we keep a waiting list. If you think you would like to join, please get in touch at referrals@mindincamden.org.uk or telephone 0207 911 0822. If there is a place ready for someone, please expect a call from the facilitator Richard and he will describe how the group works. This is followed by an assessment meeting to determine readiness for the group.

Venue: currently the group is online – we will update here when it will resume as a face to face group in our building.

Cost: We keep this a low-cost group. The cost for each session is £6 and this is paid at the start of the month, usually for 4 sessions, so expect to pay £24.

About The Facilitator

The group facilitator for both groups is Richard Oliver. Richard has been facilitating the evening group every week since 2009. Richard is registered with UKCP as an accredited therapist.
